Asain Familiy Kill White Man

Alchera live @ live @ Catania Catania

Alchera , the dock sounds toxic.
Catania, Wednesday, Feb. 9.

I have respect for those who play this way. No rock-star ambitions, only the desire to be on stage to convey emotions. When asked what their influences, they respond that they do not know. When I say that I think look a bit like 'The Notwist to respond that I do not even know.

It 's a normal evening in February, freezing cold that gets into your shoes, the same ones that slip through the streets of Etnea due to wax candles to the recent feast of Saint Agatha took to the streets. In the heart of Catania there are already Alchera on stage playing like madmen. I'm late as usual, and I miss the usual ten-minute concert. The local thankfully is not full, but there's nice people interested in listening to and applauding with conviction at the end of each piece.

The acoustics of the place honestly does not seem wonderful or maybe just the wrong volume setting, but the sound is a confused mix of drums and bass and guitar dominates the mix powerfully group. Even the synth sound "different" as usual, very muffled and imprecise. But this is only one aspect of the concert, luckily there is something else. The four Augsburg rule the stage with some confidence. It 'obvious that the many years of experience have served to develop a secure harmony on stage.

They play all their hard, playing with sounds and psychedelic instrumental with tails. If landfill dreams, their last studio album, on disc unfolds much more intimate and sophisticated sounds, live Alchera's changing shape. The basic structure remains the alternative (a mix of post rock and electronic nineties) but live is obscured the meditative side of the group, leaving out their most wild and uncontrolled. My favorite "Petrochemical Sunset" is performed masterfully, much better live than on disc.
The result is a very lively performance, intense and engaging.

More good music from Sicily, and sorry if it is little.
