When Travelling On Rural Roads At Higher Speeds

preview the image of my last work yet to finish ....

T ITLE: Indelible Baghdad
Technique: oil on canvas
Size: 40x60 cm

the white canvas dominates a man tied a soldier Iraqi tortured in Abu Ghraib Prison (Baghdad). The arms on the head in a pose of allegiance almost depraved, that immediately brings to mind the violence of war but that can open the door to other interpretations, a pose that can remember the almost erotic bondage. The theme and image analysis are offered as a possibility for violence and pleasure that I get sometimes, and sometimes those who perpetuated the sufferer. The two opposite poles are the victim and the executioner, acting and suffering.
One needs the other, but neither of them really want to meet.
